CPI - Best paper award 2011

At the 2011 Polyurethanes Technical Conference, Robert Tauchen, Technical Service Representative from the Comfort & Insulation Business Line, received the 2011 “Best Paper Award” from the U.S. “Center for the Polyurethanes Industry” (CPI) in Nashville (Tennessee, USA).

Tauchen, who works at the Hopewell site, got the jury’s award for his scientific paper on “Easing the transition between blowing agents in PIR formulations through proper surfactant selection”. At the three-day conference, polyurethane specialists from all over the world presented and discussed the industry’s innovations. Albemarle Corporation, a US-American company, won this year’s Innovation Award with a new color stable aliphatic polyurea coating technology. The 2012 Polyurethanes Technical Conference will take place in Atlanta (Georgia, USA) from September 24-26 with a new round of awards for the best papers and posters.
