UTECH 2012 - Product highlights

During the upcoming UTECH Europe 2012 in Maastricht the business line Comfort & Insulation of Evonik Industries AG will highlight the following products on stand 1430:

Rigid Foam
Surfactants for Panel Systems
TEGOSTAB® B 8496 - is designed for use in PUR continuous metal panel systems to suppress void formation and achieve improved surface qualities.
TEGOSTAB® B 84503 - as PIR is getting more and more popular we developed this new silicone surfactant for PIR panel systems. It significantly improves the foam aesthetics.
TEGOSTAB® B 8485 - a widely applicable silicone surfactant that combines excellent flowability with top surface quality. Furthermore, this surfactant can offer advantages regarding shelf life stability of formic acid co-blown formulations.

Flexible Foam
TEGOSTAB® B 8155 - a new FR surfactant with medium activity for the full density range of conventional flexible slabstock foam. It provides excellent processing latitude and is well suited for CAL 117, MVSS 302 as well as BS 5852 Crib V formulations.
KOSMOS® 27 - our new innovative tin catalyst is the 2-Ethylhexanoic acid free alternative of the well known KOSMOS® 29. In the production process of polyether polyurethane foams KOSMOS® 27 acts as an efficient catalyst and accelerates the gelling reaction.
ORTEGOL® HPH 1 & ORTEGOL® HPH 2 - new additives to enhance the hydrophilicity of foam. These are relevant for all applications where water needs to penetrate into the flexible foam structure.

Ester Foam
TEGOSTAB® B 8383 - our latest stabiliser for FR Ester Foam. It provides good stabilisation, fine cell structure in low densities and a broad processing latitude. It is suitable for flame lamination and all other kinds of ester foam applications. Additionally it has low VOC properties and is easily compatible with die cutting additives.

Moulded Foam
Improved Comfort
TEGOSTAB® B 8742 LF 2 – a silicone surfactant that has been proven to reduce transmissivity (A/A0) of vibration through HR TDI or TM20 seating foam and in that way improving passenger dynamic comfort. Easy foam crushability and wide processing latitude are maintained while meeting low VOC requirements.

Low VOC requirements
TEGOSTAB® B 8736 LF 2 – a silicone surfactant for TDI/TM20 HR Moulded Foam that offers a wide processing latitude, provides excellent cell regulation, a subsurface structure free of voids, open cell structure (i.e. easy-to-crush foam) and meets extra low VOC standards.
TEGOSTAB® B 8734 LF 2 - our MDI HR Moulded Foam surfactant which offers an excellent surface/subsurface regulation, open cell/easy to crush foam, very broad processing latitude and extra low VOC.
TEGOSTAB® B 8745 LF 2 - the newly developed silicone surfactant for MDI HR Moulded Foam that significantly enhances the MDI-system miscibility and fulfils extra low VOC needs.

Release Agents
Evonik offers GORAPUR® release agents from its affiliate Evonik Gorapur GmbH, Germany, to the market. The portfolio includes products for the automotive and shoe-sole-industry as well as many other polyurethane applications.
GORAPUR® LK 8516-10 B – an innovative catalyst free release agent for automotive seating applications.
GORAPUR® LI 1029-41 B – our new release agent for steering wheels with low VOC content, providing a very matte surface.
